Abstract The problems related to the so called loss of life, or isolation aging [7], have been given a great deal of attention over a long period of time, starting at the beginning of the last century. In this period, various notions have been used to explain the transformers loss of life, which as usual have been interpreted incorrectly. In fact, loss of life has always been understood as reducing the isolations loss of life. Given that in the methods for determining the loss of life according to the IEEE and IEC standards, there are terminological differences in defining certain variables, in this work there has been made a comparative analysis between the variables arising from these standards and referring to the transformer loss of life. All analysis refer to a transformer with the following parameters: 630kVA, 10/0,4kV, Dy5. |
